New Hopkins Trail App Enhances Forest Learning Experience

The Hopkins Demonstration Forest has introduced a new mobile trail app that invites visitors to explore the forest in an engaging and educational way. Developed by Parthenon Software Group of Vancouver, Washington, the Hopkins Trail App provides interactive features that make it easier to navigate the forest’s trails while learning about the trees, plants, wildlife, and history found throughout the 140-acre outdoor classroom.
The app features a detailed, GPS-enabled trail map that helps visitors orient themselves anywhere on the property—making it especially useful for families, youth groups, students, and first-time visitors. Along the trails, users will find points of interest and educational information highlighting forest management practices, habitat restoration efforts, and unique natural features. The app is available in both English and Spanish, helping to make forest education more accessible to a broader community.
Development of the Hopkins Trail App was funded in part by Clackamas County Tourism / Mt. Hood Territory, whose support helped bring this digital learning tool to life. Their investment strengthens outdoor recreation and hands-on environmental education opportunities in our region.
The Hopkins Trail App is free and now available for download through both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
