Annual Friends Campaign Underway—Plus Unique Naming Opportunities!

Every year Forests Forever invites all of our friends who believe in our mission to provide
in-the-forest learning for students, their teachers, woodland owners and the public to
share their support for what we do. This past year, 101 individuals contributed just under
$26,000 in our Friends campaign.

According to Mike Piazza, FFI’s Treasurer and Co-Chair of the Friends Campaign, “We really
have great and very generous supporters and we appreciate their charitable giving. We
couldn’t continue to provide our education programs at no cost, nor keep our facilities,
trails and signs in tip-top condition, without this help.”
The 2026 Friends of Hopkins Campaign has a goal of raising $35,000—in recognition of
Forests Forever’s 35th anniversary.

“If everyone who loves and enjoys the Hopkins Demonstration Forest—plus our Schink and
Pedee properties—would give just a little, we can collectively reach this year’s goal,” Piazza
shared.
The 2026 Campaign will include special naming rights opportunities for four locations at
Hopkins in the coming year. Individuals, families, loved ones in memory will be recognized
at: 1) New log bench to be placed at the Rocky Point Trail overlook; 2) A foot bridge on the
Redwood Trail; 3) Stone bench at Molalla Log House; and 4) Stone bench at wetland pond.
Donors at the $500 level or higher will be eligible for naming —first come, first served.
Prominent signage signifying your naming will be located at these sites for all to see.

Friends of Campaign letters were mailed in mid-November to all names on FFI’s mail list.
Donations to the Friends or Hopkins Campaign can be made on-line, too. Go to FFI’s
website at www.demonstrationforest.org. Click on the DONATE button on the homepage.
Designate “Friends of Hopkins.” Select your Gift Level.
Let’s all help Forests Forever, Inc. reach the 35th anniversary goal!
